Zion View Campground Glamping with Kids

Zion View Campground Glamping with Kids

This past week we went glamping with the kids and we had an absolute blast! I can’t take credit for choosing the Southern Utah glamping location because our neighbors did all of the research and invited us but my goodness, this place was amazing! We did glamping at Zion View Campground and not only were the campgrounds amazing — secluded, beautiful views and lots of rocks to explore and dirt to play with for the kids — but the amenities were incredible!

The tent is already set up for you (amazing!) and e booked the two queen bed glamping tent. Each campground had a barbecue, a couple of chairs (ours had 3), a picnic table, s’mores upon request each night with the skewers included, a hand-washing station at each campground and the shared bathrooms were far more than I had imagined with nice walk-in showers in there too! They also had a littl4e pavilion area with a volleyball net (they have balls for you to use), an ax throwing station and lots of items available for purchase right at the office (ice, drinks, snacks, and coffee).

And the views were absolutely incredible! This was the view from our campground!

They also have a little pond right down the street (a couple minute walk) but we didn’t end up using it at all while we were there. But it sure was beautiful!

We spent two nights there and it was the perfect amount of time for our kiddos and for us! They played in the dirt constantly and enjoyed every second of it.

As you can see on the right, we were there celebrating our friend’s second birthday and they even decorated their tent upon arrival for a little celebration — how fun is that?!

And finally, the farm animals. They had horses, goats, sheep and pigs right there on site (just a couple minute walk from the campground) and even a one-week old goat (we got to hold him!) and a bunch of three-week-old piglets too. It was such a fun little daily getaway for the kids… we used it when some of the kids were melting down and we needed to get up for a change of scenery.

I highly recommend this Southern Utah glamping campground for kiddos as ours loved it!

Pro Tip: Our kids played in the dirt pretty much the entire time we were there As you can see, they were covered from head to toe in dirt within an hour of waking up. But there were these little pokey things in the dirt that easily stuck into their skin — like we removed probably a hundred plus pokeys from the kids throughout the trip and even pulled out more when we got home that the kids didn’t eve notice. So bring tweezers!! They honestly didn’t hurt the kids or bother them at all (I got a few myself) and they were all extremely easy to pull out. Most could be pulled out easily just with our finger nails but we were so glad we had tweezers on hand.

But overall, if you’re wanting a fun little Southern Utah family trip idea, Zion View Campground glamping is highly recommended.

After we left Zion View Camping with the kids, we headed to St. George and had another couple days of so much fun! If you’re looking for things to do in St. George with kids, here’s what we did:

  • Town Square Splash Pad: They have two splash pads right next to each other and a carousel there too!

  • St. George Children’s Museum: This place was so much fun and was right there in Town Square next to the splash pad. We brought the kids a quick change of clothes and went right after and when it was time to leave, all of the kids were super bummed because the museum was their favorite part!

  • Quail Creek Reservoir: This place was absolutely gorgeous, the sand/dirt/mud was so incredibly soft (bring those sand toys - we snagged some at Walmart on our way and we’re so glad we did!) and the water is just perfect. We were able to swim in there no problem, even the little ones! We planned on going to Sand Hollow Reservoir but called and learned that they have swimmers itch there so didn’t want that — but Quail Creek was amazing!
