The Chicco OneFit™ ClearTex® All-in-One Car Seat

We have had the opportunity to try out quite a few car seats, from infant car seats to car seats that grow-with-you, many vacations installing and re-installing those seats throughout our travels, etc. Let’s just say we’ve seen and used a lot.

But truly, these features have blown me away. This car seat has features that I’ve literally never seen or heard of before, features that drive me crazy in other car seats and Chicco has solved so many of those problems.

And not only that, but ClearTex® products meet federal car safety flammability standards without the need of added chemicals, extending to all softgoods that surround your child: foam, inserts & comfort kits (even labels!) for peace of mind from head to toe.

SuperCinch® Force-Multiplying Latch Tightener

Have you ever found yourself standing on top of a car seat, attempting to pull those LATCH System straps with all of your might while getting rope burns on your hands, only to feel like the straps are going nowhere? I have. Quite a few times. I’ve said it so many times — “Why do they make it so difficult to tighten??”

Now this is the Chicco feature that truly made me go WOW.

The SuperCinch® FORCE-MULTIPLYING LATCH TIGTHNER makes the OneFit™ ClearTex® the easiest to install correctly, every time. 

Pull the little part that says “pull 1st” first, and then the “pull 2nd” second and voila, it tightens using that SuperCinch® force and you don’t have to do any of that work. It was seriously a breeze and I didn’t even have to hop into the car seat to pull it.

It just tightened - just like that. Game changer.

GOES FROM 5-100LBS

Story Time — We had a car seat when Ava was around 4 years old and still rear facing, because we rear face as long as we possibly can until our kids outgrow the height or weight restrictions for that specific car seat, whichever comes first. Anyways, we had just had a doctor appointment for Ava so I now knew her exact height and wanted to make sure she hadn’t outgrown the rear facing height for her seat. You guys, I spent legitimately an hour attempting to find this information online. I googled and googled and googled, I asked the question in mom groups, I read the entire manual from front to back and finally found my answer on a random blog post, also stating that this information was not easy to find.

And this is the second reason why I love this Chicco car seat so much:

So as you can see, this seat truly grows with your child which I absolutely LOVE and I know you all do too!

ReclineSure™ Leveling System

Another feature that I love so much is this ReclineSure™ Leveling System, allowing the proper recline for your specific car (have you ever seen 9 recline options??) and allowing for the perfect comfort for your child, depending on which stage they are currently at.

The RideRight™ bubble levels (top left in the first photo) work in tandem with the 9-position ReclineSure™ leveling system (second photo) to provide improved vehicle fit and child comfort. Brilliant. No searching the internet and heck, you don’t even have to search the manual. And while you may not think this is an issue, have you ever tried installing a car seat at the proper level in a Mustang? Because we have. And even car seat techs had trouble with that one!

Super Slim Design

When we were first talking about having a third baby I did some research on car seats that would fit three across because at the time, my car was a 5-seater. And spoiler alert: there weren’t many options and they were hard to find.

It’s not uncommon for parents to need three car seats in one row so when they told me that it’s possible with this one and possible in many cars, I was super excited about that! But once again Chicco thought of a way to easily solve this with a QR code right on the side of the car seat. Just scan it with your phone and it brings you to simple how-to videos, information you may be looking for and support.
