It must be that time in my life where everyone around me is having a second baby. I’ve seen posts all over the place asking that big question that has much debate:

Should I have a baby shower for my second baby?

In short, I think YES. Of course you have lots of baby stuff already if you’re on to number two (that is, if you saved it all) and if you’re having a baby the same gender as your first, then you’ve probably got all the clothes you need so you’re pretty much set. But here’s what I think:

Every baby is special and every baby should be celebrated. And in all honesty, your friends and family want to celebrate all of your babies so never ever think that you’re forcing people to attend an event they don’t want to attend and purchasing gifts they don’t want to purchase. They want to - I promise you that.

But here’s the thing -- you may not really need a lot of stuff for your second baby (and may not want floods of just “stuff”) so I put together a list of baby shower gift ideas that are great for baby #2. It’s all stuff the mama-to-be is going to purchase anyways so might as well help her out where she really needs it. And to make it easier on you, you can find it all at your local Sam’s Club. One stop shopping? Yes please!

1. Prenatal Vitamins

Nature Made Prenatal® Multi + DHA (200mg) 150ct. soft gels are something every single mom is going to take pre-pregnancy (6 months before you start trying to get pregnant) and throughout her pregnancy. She’s going to buy these for herself no matter what. So in my eyes, that’s a great gift to purchase!

No matter how many babies you’ve had, you’re always going to need diapers. And Sam’s Club has got you covered in that department with a variety of top brands at amazing prices!

3. Car Seats

Did you know that car seats actually expire? So just because someone has already had a baby, doesn’t mean they can use that same infant car seat for their second baby. And of course, every baby needs a safe car seat. Shop a variety of top-rated car seats brands right from your local Sam’s Club!

4. Diaper Bags

We all know how dirty diaper bags get after baby #1 and while mom may plan on using the same one for baby #2, that’s her everyday accessory and should be one that she loves. So you can never go wrong with a new cute diaper bag, something just for mom.

5. Baby Soaps

Baby wash - I feel like I am constantly buying more baby wash for bath time so in my eyes, you can never get enough. It’ll absolutely positively be used! You can shop all of your favorite baby soap brands from Sam’s Club and they’ve even got cute little gift baskets that make gift giving easy on you too!

Or of course, Sam's Club gift cards work too :)
