Every thought about that before? If you think about it, it’s kinda crazy and I don’t know about you but for me, it makes me want to soak it all in. We’ve all got errands to run, emails to respond to and dinners to cook but I’ve got four tips for making this summer the best summer yet with your kids.

1. Stitch Fix

Okay I know you’re probably so confused with this first one but I promise, I have a point so just bear with me for a second so I can explain…

Stitch Fix means less time dragging my toddler around the mall to try and find clothes for summer and for the school year and more time making moments. It means less time running errands with two kids in hand (which we all know isn’t so easy) and more time spent in the backyard or on a hike or at the playground with my babies. It means less grumpy mall tantrums and more smiles and experiences we will cherish together. When I’ve got someone else to shop for me and someone to deliver those adorable outfits straight to our door, that means more time for motherhood moments that I’ll never forget.

Stitch Fix Kids is a styled kids fashion box that’s delivered right to your doorstep. You take a style quiz, a Stitch Fix stylist selects 8-12 items that are perfect for your style, you have the chance to try on everything at home on your own time and if there happens to be anything that isn’t perfect for your kids’ style, you send it back in the pre-paid envelope and only pay for those items you keep and absolutely love. Oh yeah, and did I mention stickers for the kids? And a box that doubles as a coloring book? Pretty neat, if you ask me.

If you want to try out Stitch Fix Kids for your kiddos this summer or for back to school this coming fall, just click the link below to get $25 OFF your first box! (Must sign up for a new adult account and add a child to that account to receive the $25 off)

It’s just $20 for the styling fee and that $20 is applied toward anything you keep! Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. Oh.. and oh-so-easy too!

2. Do the things that bring you joy.

If Disneyland brings you the most joy. Go for it. If traveling the world brings you the most joy. Do that. And if staying at home watching your kids play in the grass with no plans for the day and not a care in the world brings you the most joy, then that’s what you should do. Activities and plans don’t necessarily equal joy.

3. Make it last just a minute longer.

Let your baby (or your toddler or even your big kids) sleep on your chest for just a minute longer. Breathe in that newborn baby smell one extra time. When you’re about to head off to bed, just hold that hug a little extra tight and for a couple extra seconds. Let the kids play in the sprinklers for just a couple extra minutes before you call them in for dinner. These little moments may seem insignificant in the moment but they’re the most precious moments you’ll have.

And they’re moments I never want to forget.

4. Say “Yes”

Your kids want to run in the sprinklers with their clothes on? Why not! Your kids want to roll in the mud? Just say yes! Your toddler wants to dance with you right when you started responding to an email? Instead of “hold on” just say “yes.” So often I find myself saying “no” to Ava when there’s really no reasoning behind that no. Maybe I’ll have a mess to clean up but that’s no big deal. I promise, those spontaneous, messy moments where I’ve just said “yes” always turn out to be the moments she loves the most. And the moments my babies are having the most fun are not only the ones that will make me smile, but they’re the ones we will remember forever. Those are the moments she will look back on and think “man, I had a fun childhood.”
