Sponsored with love, by Finn + Emma
I've said it before and I will say it again - I LOVE toys with no batteries. I love heirloom toys, toys that are cute and functional and one's that don't drive me bonkers, requiring me to replace batteries day after day. I love simple.
You see, I am on my phone and my computer A LOT. I'm a blogger, so being on my phone and computer are how I make a living. So while there is not changing that (okay, I know I can cut down some on that), I want Ava to grow up loving the little things in life and not getting addicted to the bigger, the better, the shinier, the items with the most lights and most sounds. I want Ava to grow up with some of the basics because in a small way, I think it will allow her to appreciate the little things in live. There is no scientific backing for my methods and of course she has plenty of battery-operated toys but I try the best I can.
And this is exactly why I love Finn + Emma so much!
I know that most of these play gyms are used by babies but Ava still loves hers at ten months old! She will swing the toys back and forth and chew on the wooden toys for teething. And even better, I can take the toys with us in the stroller and snap them to the side so we will never lose them! Ava recently learned to throw things on the ground so this is key to keeping her toys clean while out and about and a key to my sanity!
All Finn + Emma wood toys are made from untreated Indian hardwood, finished with vegetable seed wax and filled with little beans. So I don't have to worry about her getting any strange toxins from using them as teething toys! And their hand-knit toys are made by an artisanal women's collective in Peru with G.O.T.S. certified organic cotton yarn and wool stuffing with a phthalate-free rattle inside. And the rattle is music to my ears compared to every other toy out there!
Organic and eco-safe, we are definitely in love with our Finn + Emma play gym! Click the link below to take a look at all of their adorable play gyms and other clothing, toys and accessories! I want all of it!
