Strawberry Picking at Underwood Family Farms
I typically don't blog our every day adventures but we went strawberry picking at Underwood Family Farms for the very first time today and there were just way too many adorable photos...too many to post them all on Instagram. So here I am, blogging my favorites.
We have season passes so we typically just look around at all of the animals, play in the big sandbox, picnic, ride the ponies and just have a nice, relaxing afternoon but today the petting zoo was closed so it was the perfect opportunity to make the long trek over to the strawberry fields and get some fresh fruit. Unfortunately Ava wasn't a fan of sitting in the wagon today (all she wanted to do was stand) so I had a wagon in one hand and a 20 pound baby in the other. It was a a very long trek but it was so worth it.
Ava loved it.
I couldn't get Ava to actually do the strawberry picking part (she was far too busy eating them) but she loved carrying the basket full of fruit. When I would hand her a strawberry she would actually place it inside her basket. Well...some of them. She ate quite a few!
If you're looking for a fun, inexpensive activity for kids in Southern California, Underwood Family Farms is one of our favorite quick trips to make!
Enough from the peanut gallery -- I know the adorable photos of Ava with a strawberry-covered face are what you really want to see so here you go! Happy Thursday everyone!
