Thank you Tom’s of Maine for sponsoring this post.
Coffee-lover and Mom are two words that are basically synonymous. I liked coffee before Ava but with all of the late nights and early mornings, I've become quite the coffee-aholic, to say the least. And recently, my trip to the dentist after my “tooth dilemma” made me realize that I need to change my morning “coffee first, teeth second” routine. And I need to change it fast. So I’m switching to Tom’s of Maine toothpaste and I’ll tell you why.
With all of that coffee drinking, my teeth have taken quite the beating. All of those Facebook memories that pop up daily are a solid reminder that my teeth are no way near what they used to be. I'm always proactive about my dental hygiene but clearly, it hasn't quite done the trick.
I know, I get it. Our bodies change, our appearances change and what’s on the inside is what counts. Blah blah blah…and while I get it and that’s all true, I am a firm believer that when I look and feel my best, I am more happy. And when mama is happy, I’m able to be a better parent to my little girl. So yeah, appearances aren’t everything but taking care of myself and feeling great in my own skin ARE important to me. And they’re important to my overall mental health too.
And my smile is one thing that I’ve always deemed as important.
I'm constantly in front of the camera and I want my vibrant, white smile back so I'm switching it up and trying something new. I'm trying something fresh, something natural, something that's more healthy for myself and for my teeth.
And I’m crossing all of my fingers and my toes that it does the trick and I get my old smile back.
You know how we all just stick to our routine because “that’s how we’ve always done it?” That’s how I feel about my dental hygiene. Same toothbrush, same toothpaste and for years, I haven’t switched because I’ve been stuck in that routine. But you know last month when I told you all about Ava chipping my front tooth? Yeah, it was terrible. I cried. Because my smile is important to me. And I cried even harder when my dentist told me that she couldn’t fix it because my enamel was getting too thin and brittle. Could that be all of the harsh chemicals I’ve been using on my teeth for years? Probably! This was finally the push I needed to move to a more natural toothpaste. So I’m finally breaking free and trying something new.
Tom’s of Maine Luminous White Toothpaste naturally (key word right there) removes surface stains in two weeks, for a whiter smile. And because it’s safe on enamel and safe for everyday use, I no longer have to worry about damaging my enamel with harsh chemicals daily. And to be honest, I can’t believe I hadn’t researched this more earlier. Tom’s of Maine Luminous White Toothpaste contains no artificial flavors, no colors or preservatives and has no animal testing. Plus, it's gluten free!
And if all of that isn’t a good reason to switch, then I don’t know what is.
